Types of Adjusters
When an insured files a claim with his insurer to recover for a loss, the insurer may pay the amount requested without question, or it may begin the "adjustment" process. This is the process by which the claim is resolved. Various types of "adjusters" may assist in the adjustment process.
Types of Life Insurance
Each of the two basic types of life insurance--term life insurance and non-term or permanent life insurance--has several variations. Term life insurance is for a specified period of time. Whole life insurance covers the life of a person, however long that life is.
Diability Insurance While Employed
If an insured becomes totally disabled, he may recover payments under his disability insurance policy during his period of disability. One factor that is used to determine the insured's eligibility for such payments is his ability to work. If he has the ability to engage in substantially gainful employment, for example, he may be denied coverage. Also, if he actually obtains employment, he may also be denied coverage. The War Exclusion to the CGL Policy
Standard comprehensive general liability policies insure businesses against liability for personal injury or property damage of third parties. The policies contain a number of exclusions from coverage. Insurance needs and risk planning regarding the eventualities described in the exclusions should take into account that standard CGL policies, though comprehensive, do not cover excluded events.
